Budget 2021 Digital transformation

Budget 2021 Digital transformation

October 08, 2020

Technology is available to all.

With the recent focus in the budget on training, reskilling and digital transformation now is a great time to remind you of end user applications that feed into that narrative. Written in both technical and layman's terms...

Power Apps

A service for building and using custom business apps that connect to your data and work across the web and mobile - without the time and expense of custom software development.

Layman’s terms - you can design and build apps using drag and drop without IT support.

Power BI

A self service business intelligence tool that turns your various sources of data into coherent, visually immersive, and interactive insights.

Layman’s terms - visualise your data to drive decision making

Power Automate

A service that helps you create automated workflows between your favourite apps and services to synchronize files, get notifications, collect data, and more.

Layman’s terms - automate repetitive tasks without code.

Power Platform

A collective term for three Microsoft products: Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate (previously known as Flow). The Power Platform enables data democratisation – the ability for digital information to be accessible to the typical (non-technical) end user. It provides three technologies that allow staff to do more with their data themselves without requiring coding knowledge.

Layman’s terms – the power platforms empowers you, the end user, to save money and solve problems.

These tools will drive the digital transformation of workplaces over the coming years. Upskilling in these areas is vital for staff and business to drive productivity, add value, improve efficiency, increase staff retention and more.

Nexacu, from its inception, has been committed to helping you learn the latest technology, in the most effective manner, with the most passionate trainers.

The faciitator was great and very engaging. Was awesome that he kept checking in with how everyone was progressing to make sure nobody was left behind! The course was informative. However, I found that a large amount of the session I had already accomplished in my own time. So a more detailed description on the course overview/syllabus documents would be useful, explaining that it was an introductory level review for each of the components - as I feel the intermediate session would have been more benificial to me. -Power BI Beginner Melbourne
