What is the Claude AI course?
The Claude AI course is a one-day instructor-led training course that teaches business professionals how to use Claude at work. It covers choosing a model, reliable prompting, Projects and Styles, delegating work to Cowork, using Claude in Chrome and Microsoft 365, connecting Claude to your apps, designing an AI agent, and the governance answers IT and legal will ask for. It runs from 9am to 4pm, live online or face-to-face.
Who should attend the Claude AI course?
Business professionals who want to use AI on real work: owners and managers, operations, finance and administration teams, marketing and communications staff, analysts, and team leaders deciding how their organisation adopts AI. No technical background is required.
Do I need prior experience with Claude or AI?
No. If you have used a chatbot once, you are ready. The course starts with how Claude works and builds from there, so it suits complete beginners as well as people already using Claude occasionally.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. Nothing in the day requires coding. In the Build Lab you will see Claude build working tools from plain-English descriptions, which is rather the point.
What do I need to take part?
A laptop and a Claude account. A paid Claude plan is needed to run the hands-on Cowork, Chrome and Microsoft 365 exercises yourself. Anthropic lists Cowork as available on the Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans. Free-plan users can follow every demonstration and complete the workbook.
Which Claude plan do I need for the hands-on exercises?
Any paid plan covers the exercises. Anthropic makes Cowork available on Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise, and Claude in Chrome and Claude for Microsoft 365 on Pro and above. If your organisation is on Team or Enterprise, note that Claude for Microsoft 365 is off by default and an administrator needs to enable it before the class.
Is our company data used to train the AI?
It depends on the plan, and this is worth getting right before a rollout.
Anthropic states that, by default, it does not use inputs or outputs from its commercial products, including Claude Team, Claude Enterprise and the API, to train its models.
On the consumer plans—Free, Pro and Max—your chats are used to improve Claude only if you choose to allow it. Thumbs up and thumbs down feedback is stored for up to five years and may be used for training on any plan unless it is disabled.
The governance module covers how to check and manage these settings, along with the compliance credentials Anthropic publishes: ISO 27001:2022, ISO/IEC 42001:2023, SOC 2 Type I and SOC 2 Type II.
Is there a certification for Claude AI?
Anthropic runs its own Claude Certified credentials, which are proctored exams delivered through Pearson and available to members of the Claude Partner Network.
This Nexacu course is not one of those exams and does not lead to an Anthropic credential. You will receive a Nexacu certificate of completion, which you can download from your student portal, and the course counts towards six CPD hours.
How long does it take to learn Claude?
Enough to be useful, in a day. This course is designed so that you leave able to prompt reliably, delegate a real task to Cowork and use Claude inside Chrome and Microsoft Office. The 30-day playbook you take away is designed to turn that knowledge into working habits over the following month.
What is Cowork, and will we use it on the day?
Cowork is Claude’s digital coworker: you give it a goal and a folder, and it returns finished work rather than a chat reply. You supervise it through an approval gate and choose how much it checks with you. A dedicated course module covers Cowork, and you will delegate a real job during the class.
Does the course cover Claude in Chrome and Microsoft 365?
Yes. The course covers Claude in Chrome, including its safety gate and the browser rules worth setting, and Claude for Microsoft 365 in Excel, PowerPoint and Word, plus Claude for Outlook. You will put Claude inside a real spreadsheet and review every edit it makes.
Is the Claude AI course available online or face-to-face?
Both, depending on the current schedule. Live online training is instructor-led and interactive, delivered remotely rather than as a recorded course. Face-to-face classes run at Nexacu locations in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Canberra, Adelaide and Perth. Check the schedule for current dates in your city.
Can my team book private or on-site Claude training?
Yes. Nexacu delivers private group and on-site training and can tailor the day around your organisation’s tools and use cases. This works well for hybrid teams, with some people in a room and others joining live online. Contact us to arrange private training.
Which course should I take next?
If you want to go deeper on prompting, take AI Prompting Fundamentals. If you are deciding how your organisation adopts AI, take AI for Business Leaders and Managers. If your organisation runs on Microsoft 365, Copilot for Microsoft 365 is the natural companion. If governance is your priority, take AI Governance Training.
