Microsoft Power BI
We have used Power BI internally to streamline our operations, create management dashboards, and to monitor performance. Our own experience with Power BI opened our eyes to capabilities and power of the Power BI application and it's plentiful uses for integration into business.
We have the ambition to become the number one provider of Power BI training. We see this application as being a key tool in the workplace, necessitating the upskilling of employees. We envisaged that our training would make workers more efficient and productive in power BI. So, we set about designing a Power BI Beginner level course and an accompanying manual.
As experienced trainers, we know it’s best to work with clean simple data which students can quickly get their heads around. We gathered this data and built a variety of realistic scenarios and reports around it. We show students how to use the visualisation tools in Power BI to create a variety of performance and management reports:
- Are your Sales Team meeting targets?
- What are your top performing products?
- Can I see Sales scaled by volume on a geographical map?
These reports are used to create meaningful and insightful dashboards and are easily shared with colleagues.
The cloud based nature of Power BI and its ease of connectivity to other services is what makes it stand apart from other visualisation tools. The Power BI courses demonstrates the ease of connectivity and delves into the Mobile App and its usefulness. Furthermore, having the ability to check KPI’s on your mobile while out of the office is a real game changer for many managers. As a result, the information really is at your fingertips!
We spent a great deal of time designing the course. To ensure we were delivering material that could be applied as soon as students returned to their workplace. Hence, it’s a beginner level course but is substantial and delivers a great deal of meaningful and useful content. To further bolster the learning, we created a copyrighted manual with step by step exercises, screen shots and instructions.
We are truly proud of the effort the team put into producing this course. Finally, if you would like to learn more you can check out our course content.
